My Bosch Worcester Greenstar 24 Ri Boiler was installed in about 2008 andhas been fine until a few weeks ago.We leave the heating on constant and use the thermostat to control it.When we turn the thermostat down last thing at night, the pump keepsrunning for a very long time, even when there is no heat left in theradiators. There is also a lot of clicking coming from the boiler. I haveresorted to turning off the mains to get it to stop. This problem is just with the heating and not the hot water, which onlycomes on for a brief period in the day, and the pump always shuts downnormally after the hot water has been on.Has anyone else had this problem and what did you find helpful?-Mark04.03.14 2:05. Turned out to be thecheap and nasty Chinese relays they use. Try exposing the control pcb andgently tapping it whilst listening for the characteristic relay 'click'followed by the pump cutting out. Then you'll know for sure it's a relay. However, sometimes there's no 'click' but the same thing happens anyway. In both cases, it's a relay.

I wonder if anybody can help I have a Worcester Bosch 24i combi boiler. I ahve noticed over the last couple of days that the electronic ignition light on the front is coming on and off in no particular pattern.I can also here a clicking sound.
Even when the relays are energised and thecontacts appear closed, they can still be open circuit as they oftendon't close with sufficient pressure to pass current. If Worcester-Bosch had used decent relays, it wouldn't have added hardlyanything to the final price, so it's a shame. A service bod won't bothertrying to trace a faulty relay, however, he'll just swap out the wholeboard (90 quid odd) and charge you for that plus the labour etc. Ifyou're handy with a soldering iron, you can save a worthwhile sum justreplacing the duff relay(s).Mike05.03.14 6:44.

I am not up to much with a soldering iron andthink I will probably discuss it with the CH engineer who installed it tostart with.-Mike05.03.14 6:45. I recently had a Nest 3rd Gen installed by a Nest Pro to my Greenstar 37CDi Combi gas boiler. The Nest itself is working perfectly but the pump is constantly running 24 hours a day (burner light isn't on)Worcester have not been able to make any suggestions and the Nest Pro Installer & Nest have also drawn a blank. We know it's the pump because the noise stops if you disconnect the pump power.
If you disconnect the Heatlink and reconnect the integral boiler controls it stops.Fairly frustrating because of the constant noise combined with I'm using electriciy and wearing the pump out faster for no reason!Has anyone had any experience of Nest and Greenstar boilers? Nest are saying they are compatible but would like confirmation.
